Delays and server issues
I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas & new year. It's time for a much needed update on GameMaker Server.
First of all -- I've had some issues with my hand that prevented me from using a computer (RSI), which means I had a lot of catching up to do. It also means the beta for v3 of GameMaker Server is nowhere near ready yet, and has been pushed back at least 4-5 months. My hand is still not fully healed, and I can only use it for short periods at a time.
Secondly, you have probably noticed some server issues in the past few weeks. There has been a popular game that massively increased server load. I've implemented some systems to keep this under control, and allow every game to be played. I'll be monitoring the server, and make adjustments if needed.

for the server status. NOTE: Logins might still be allowed if the load is over 100%. Please see the "Minimal number of players that can login when it's busy on the server" upgrade on the developer section of the site. By default, this is set to 6 players.
You can now also donate to get "Supporter Access", which will allow you to login any time regardless of server load. This will *not* reduce the limit for everyone else, and if enough people donate I can even increase the server capacity to get as many of you on as possible.
