Update 2.5 released

This update introduces two new features:

  • The 10k most commonly used passwords can no longer be used as passwords. While this change applies to all new accounts created, older versions of the extension will show you error code 10 instead of an error message.

  • You can now attach a 'tag' of up to 96 characters to chat messages. This allows you to, for example, implement local chat, custom team chat, or other chat features that require more data than just a plain chat message. Chat messages accompanied by a tag are currently not subject to filtering, muting or slow chat mode.

Hi there, great website and program.
I donated (taconline@msn.com) via PayPal but my email is darkerclarke@gmail.com on here. I've not seen anything to confirm my subscriber status is applied.
I plan to support you for as long as you have this running. You're literally saving so much time having this up, im grateful.
Encountering a strange issue, putting the tutorial together and it was working but now every now and then it states connection to server lost, even though my connection to other sites and apps remain stable at the time.
Or even stranger, clicking the login button for guest mode just stops working and does not advance to the next room, just stays stuck on the show login

Regarding the issue you're having -- could you checkhttps://status.gamemakerserver.com/ when it occurs, to see if a "Node crash" incident is happening? There have been some crashes recently, and I'm still working on figuring out what exactly is causing it.

GMS2 is not going to be supported but, is there any way to access to the server's INI files from a GMS2 game, using functions like http_get() or similar?

Not in a similar way that a 1.4 game, but maybe some basic functions can be available, like write GameINI, read, and so, for a GMS2 game with a server's page created?

Unfortunately, there's no "officially supported" way to do this.

I have heard that it's fairly easy to get the extension working if you take an existing GM:Studio 1.4 project using the extension and import that into GM:Studio 2 (and search through the extension source to replace references to 'game_id' with a number of your choosing that you register on this site). That would probably be your best bet, but that could of course break with a GM:Studio or extension update.

just regurding to the cubic planet source well i have removed all 12 keyloggers and also remvoed the ip ddos script in the orignal
so dont ban farmplanets
