Can I just store user password in local...?

Posted by Cromemadnd
I just want to make users don't type username and password every time.
So can I just store their usernames and passwords in a file of their local machine?
Just a "remember me"...
[I don't want to get my game banned]
[I am not good at English,so sorry]

Don't store passwords, I will ban you if you do that.

The auto-login feature should work fine. It will send you a new token every time you connect to the server, which you can use for the next login.

If you can't get the auto-login feature to work, try and see if you can get it to work in a new, empty game. If that doesn't work, mail the project (of the new empty game + your autologin code) to gamemakerserver@outlook.com and I'll take a look.

You would have to bring it up with Size43, although in my opinion as long as the information is hashed, meaning it cannot be undone to view the original password then it should be fine.

Make sure you get permission just in-case.

To add on, there's remember me functions within GMS in the form of a token. Read about it.

I tried it,but the token doesn't auto update every time.It only worked for one time.
Thank you for your reply.
